Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 13:11-13
Gospel Acclamation: Revelation 1:8
Gospel: John 3:16-18
For God sent His Son into the world... that the world might be saved through Him.
What is salvation?
Salvation is the benevolent offering of a wholesome wellbeing, including eternal life, to someone, following God's unconditional love for humanity.
Wholesome wellbeing takes into consideration the spiritual, psychological, material and physiological components of the human person.
Jesus came to save. He didn't save a part of us and leave the rest. He saved us and gave us total wellbeing. He gave us the Word, the Eucharist and his Life for our spiritual, psychological and eternal wellbeing. He also fed the multitude in Matt. 14:13-21 for their physical, material and physiological wellbeing.
The salvation Jesus came to give us is wholesome and all-encompassing. As followers of Jesus, if we preach the Word and refuse to share uplifting opportunities with our fellow brothers and sisters, our Christianity is not complete. James 2:14 says that faith without works is dead.
Jesus himself understood that a hungry population cannot receive the Word, so he took care of their needs, not out of compulsion, but out of compassion. Matt. 14:14 says, "He had compassion on the crowd", and attended to their needs.
Many of our youths are economically stranded. What would Jesus do? He would take care of the stranded crowd. May God provide us with good opportunities to cater for his people in a wholesome manner, Amen.

MY REFLECTION
THE THREE PERSONS IN ONE GOD!
According to the catechism of the Catholic Church, "We do not confess three Gods, but one God in three Persons, the consubstantial Trinity. The divine persons do not share the one divinity among themselves but each of them is God whole and entire."
Brothers and Sisters, on a day like this, while so many of us may be tempted to seek to understand fully the mystery surrounding the Three Persons of the Trinity, it will do us greater good, to submit ourselves humbly to God and seek to enter into a closer relationship with each Person of the Trinity and so grow in love and knowledge.
The first reading, God descended in the cloud and revealed Himself to Moses, as a merciful and gracious God, He continues in our time to reveal Himself to those who sincerely seek to know and love Him.
Therefore, we are invited to deepen our relationship with the True God, while acknowledging our limit in capacity and the poverty of words to express in human terms, the mystery of the God who made us without our knowledge.
Keep In Mind That, God Is One And Not Three!
God loves us so much that He created us and when we rebelled against Him through sin, He sent His only Son to save us. That is wonderful enough for us to be grateful. Yet, so many people still reject or take for granted, God’s love. May the love of God melt their hearts! Amen 🙏
When man left paradise because of disobedience, God should have just forgotten Him but here’s the twist: How can He forget? We are too precious in His own eyes so that even if a woman should forget her own baby, God can never afford to forget us.
So, He continues to pursue us never minding the fact that we reject Him again and again. In His own perspective, we are worth the blood of His only begotten Son. In the words of one great writer, we are at the center of God’s vision.
That is why the next time we feel alone and lonely and that nobody cares, let us remember why we are here on earth in the first place. We are loved as to have life and we are more precious than silver or gold. Our value is priceless for we have been bought by the blood of Jesus, the One sent by the Father of creation to redeem us. Therefore, let us rejoice and be glad because God loves us.
Shalom 😇😇
To start with, Moses action in the First Reading, shows that God is always with us but because of our sinfulness we don't feel the impact of God in our lives and that's why we should always seek for God mercy as it is through the mercy of God that we can proudly repeat the words of Psalmist "You are to be praised and highly exalted forever".
Furthermore, the second reading reminds us that fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, which is the gift to the church, can make us a rejoicing person, mend our ways, listen to every appeal of warning, agree with each other as well as living in peace with one another. It is only then, that we can have the love and peace of God in us that will enable us to greet each other with kiss of love and not kiss of betrayal like Judas who betrayed our Lord Jesus Christ without knowing the mission of Jesus Christ which according to Gospel, states "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life".
May God grant us the grace not to be a betrayal of Chirst but a true believer of Christ, Amen 🙏
MY REFLECTION
The second reading for me is a big challenge in that I sometimes disagree with myself which in the long run tampers my peace. Then, I ask myself, how can you give what you don’t have so I started praying for the grace of God to grant me the spirit of peace which St. Paul sends to the people of Corinthians in his second letter.
The concept of "peace" in the Old Testament primarily refers to wholeness, total health, total welfare. It covers the sum total of God's blessings to a person who belongs to the covenant community.
The term "peace" is used in the New Testament in at least five different ways:
1. Peace as the absence of war or chaos.
2. Peace as a right relationship with God or with Christ.
3. Peace as a good relationship among people.
4. Peace as an individual virtue or state, that
is, tranquillity or serenity.
5. Peace as part of a greeting formula.
So we must, as a matter of principle, according to number (2) listed above to always embrace peace and be in good standing with Christ and his church (which in this context I term “people”)
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest and abide with us now and forever, Amen.
